Unfortunately after using it a week or so on my conceptual photos it is disheartening that it only supports 8bit images. So everytime I use it I have to downgrade my 16bit images to 8bit.

For a product touted by Corel for use with photos this is a bummer. The final dealbreaker is that to get more Brush Packs that I would love to have the price goes up way too much. Also there is no layers in the interface.

Thankfully Corel has a money back guarantee so I returned/deactivated it. They need to seriously retool this software and the brush packs pricing etc. I am getting Flame Painter 3 and that is a great price and has TONS of brushes for free and is way more versatile. I bought it this afternoon. I had to manually install it on Photoshop CS6 on Mac OS X 10.10.4. Since it tried to install on Photoshop CC 2015, which I don't use.

Launching from PS it crashes Photoshop and it makes it Not Respond. Force Quitting PS reveals the Plug in interface which is extremely simple, not intuitive and limited to the starter pack. I like some of the effects so far but if it crashes PS, it's basically useless. It lets you work on the image but since you can't save it, so you just lose all the work. I should have known Corel didn't have a trial version spelled bad news. I will ask for a refund or for an update that works. I haven't tried it on PS CC 2015 since my trial is expired but it will probably be the same.

Let me know if anyone has luck making it work. Does Paintshop pro have non-destructive and nested layers yet? I consider these fundamental for pro useage as a cheap substitute to Photoshop. I used to use Serif Photoshop which had both and had so much potential to be a half-decent replacement for Photoshop but for some useability/UI issues, slowness and ancient bugs going back 10 years that had never been fixed and were infuriating. Serif evidently didn't practice the Microsoft principle of 'Eat your own dog food' as their marketing people would have gone nuts, as I did. And is it multithreaded yet?

By that I mean, is it using the full capability of the microprocessor. Is your kernel leaking RAM?

Every windows 10 machine I have is doing that. Also my laptop dumps its video card drivers every time I reboot, forcing me to uninstall them and have system update reinstall them.

My sound card didn't work until the first update pack because they had a broken mixer. When I try to boot safe mode, I just get a blinking screen. Also, startup recovery fails and says that it is not compatible!? Oh yeah and my windows 7 profile caused some weird bug that sent the data sharing service into a loop writing log files over and over again to my C drive. That one was really, really fun to figure out how to fix. I'm kind of sick of writing bug reports and asking questions in their forums.

But yeah, no issues at all! Its just perfect! Hey Michaela, I just got my Shutterbug this morning and saw the write-up. I want to purchase the plug-in for use in LR & PS, but am wondering what this insurance addition is. I am replacing my desktop within the next few months so will have to re-download all my programs. Will I be able to do this?

If this is a one-time download, that makes no sense and I will not buy the program. So, I will buy it today if I can re-download it a few months from now when I buy my new system (waiting for Skylake to be in more desktops and am going 4K on a 32 inch monitor, so I need to have another download).
